About us.
Prim and Platter grew out of a great friendship, a love of creating memorable moments and a passion for serving and eating with those we love.
It was a cold wintery day last year that we sat around the fire with a cheese platter and chatted about the idea of starting an Instagram page, displaying the photos of the platters we were enjoying making together.
We had grown up together and after time spent away and travelling the world, we picked up our friendship where we left off. It helped that the COVID-19 lockdown had us staying in one place and eager for some kind of excitement.
That excitement definitely happened to revolve around food... As little girls, eating, creating and celebrating with each other was such a big part of growing up. We didn’t expect a business to come out of such a friendship.
Our Instagram page saw people asking us to create the same platters for them. We definitely didn’t expect our idea to become what it is now. It’s not everyday that you get to make platters and hang out with your best friend (and get paid for doing it!).
When we’re not plattering (or working our full time jobs that we manage to do on top of running our business) we juggle very fulfilling social and active lives.
Sas loves painting, cooking and spending quality time with her many friends.
KJ loves exploring and being in the outdoors and dreams of the day when she can travel overseas again. In the last couple of months, our business has grown exponentially.
We are so amazed by how it continues to grow and we love sharing this journey with you all. We appreciate all your kindness and support. Thank you for believing in us.
